Marriage registration cost in Georgia: what you pay and to whom
Two things are often mixed up online: what the state charges and what a service provider charges. Below we separate them clearly, using the official source and our current price list.
What the state charges
According to the Public Service Development Agency of Georgia, marriage registration at a territorial office of the Agency or at the House of Justice, without a special ceremonial service, is carried out free of charge. Ceremonial services, off-site registration and other additional government services may be charged separately, so the current tariff is always checked before you apply.

Our packages
Standard — $200
Notarised translations of your passports, full organisational support, accompaniment at the House of Justice in Batumi and two witnesses. Suitable when the receiving authority or country does not require an apostille, or an exemption under an international treaty applies — confirmed after we review your documents.
Standard + apostille — $400
Everything in Standard, plus the apostille on the marriage certificate with translation into one language of your choice. The state fee for the apostille is included in this price.
Photo session — from $170
An optional add-on with a local photographer in Batumi or on the Black Sea coast.
What is not in the price
- flights, accommodation and transfers;
- translation of additional documents beyond your passports, if your case needs them;
- additional government services such as a ceremonial or off-site registration, which are tariffed by the state separately;
- legalisation steps required by a third country beyond the apostille.
How we quote
Send us scans of your passports and, if relevant, documents about a previous marriage. We confirm which package fits, state the final amount in writing and sign a service agreement. Any extra work or cost caused by a changed scope or additional documents is confirmed with you in advance.

Is the state fee included in your price?
According to the official SDA information, marriage registration at a territorial office of the Agency or at the House of Justice, without a special ceremonial service, is carried out free of charge. $200 and $400 are the prices of our assistance packages; the $400 package includes the state fee for the apostille specifically. Ceremonial, off-site and other additional government services may be charged separately, so the current tariff is checked before you apply.
Are there any hidden extras?
No. We agree the full amount in writing before we start, and the package contents are listed above. If your case needs something unusual — for example additional documents translated — we say so before you pay anything.
Which package should we choose?
Standard is enough when the authority or country where you will use the certificate does not require an apostille, or an exemption under an international treaty applies — this is confirmed after we review your documents. If the certificate will be submitted abroad, Standard + apostille is usually the practical choice.
